The Catholic Development Fund is an agency created by the Bishop of Geraldton to provide investment opportunity for all investors.  The pooling of financial resources saves thousands of dollars and helps, in particular, our isolated Catholic Communities. 

All deposits/investments and any interest payable are guaranteed by the Roman Catholic Bishop of Geraldton, giving you peace of mind.

Your CDF account will provide you with: a) security of deposits;

b) a competitive interest rate calculated on a daily balance; (refer below)

c) no account charges;

d) no credit or debit tax payable;

e) CDF accounts are exempt from the Deeming Rate.

 Monies invested are available on 24 hours call without penalty.

 “An investment with the CDF is designed for those persons who wish to promote the educational and other activities of the Catholic Community and for whom the considerations of profit are not a primary relevance in their investment decision. 

Investors should be aware that the CDF is not subject to the normal requirement to have a prospectus and a trust deed under the Corporations Law and the CDF has not been  examined or approved by the Australian Securities Commission.  The Roman Catholic Bishop of Geraldton has indemnified the Catholic Development Fund against any  liability arising out of a claim by investors in the Catholic Development Fund through  CDPF Limited which is a company established by the Australian Catholic Bishop’s  Conference.”
