We Salvatorians are called to follow Jesus Christ, the Divine Saviour, by living as community within the universal Church for apostolic service.
With our Founder, Father Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan, we proclaim to all people the salvation which has appeared in Jesus Christ, so that by the lives we live and in our apostolic activities, all may come "to know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent" (John 17:3), and have life in all its fullness.
The most important 'reason for being' of the Society is that it has in common with the mission of Jesus Christ and of the Church, that is, 'to revive faith and re-enkindle charity of the entire People of God and to spread the faith and charity in the world, so that soon there may be but one flock and one shepherd' (John 10,16).

The Sisters of St John of God is a congregation of religious women within the Roman Catholic Church. We were founded in 1871 when a group of women responded to an invitation by Thomas Furlong, the Bishop of Ferns in County Wexford, Ireland, to minister to the sick and destitute people of his diocese.
We are women who have responded wholeheartedly to God's call to participate in the Josephite aspect of God's mission. Our vowed religious life takes us more deeply into the life, death and resurrection of Jesus with each day being another step in growing in our radical giving of self.
We are women of hope, called by God to listen with the ear of the heart. Compassion and justice are at the heart of our mission to be neighbour. Therefore, we commit ourselves:
